[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Minyoung] Hana Securities raised KT's target price from 39,000 won to 45,000 won on the 26th. Considering that the target price was lowered from 40,000 won to 33,000 won in September 2023 and the investment opinion was changed from purchase to neutral, it is beyond that. Hana Securities has been raising its target price with an upward trend, offering 39,000 won as KT's target stock price in March 2024. KT's closing price on the 25th is 37,250 won.

"We applied the expected dividend yield of 4.5% to the DPS's annual forecast for this year. If the DPS is raised in the future, the additional target will be raised," Hana Securities said. "Under the investment strategy, KT's low point purchase is valid in July, as in June. Considering that the shareholder profit return will remain high, it is an attractive stock price."

"Considering that the stock price could rise to an expected dividend return of 5 percent and a shareholder profit return of 7 percent in the short term, the stock price could rise to the first 40,000 won. Although there is a supply and demand weakness that the foreign purchase limit is only 2.5 percent, KT's annual shareholder profit return could reach more than 700 billion won," Hana Securities said.
