[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] Hanwha Precision Machinery clarified that the final ruling in favor of Hanmi Semiconductor regarding the "prohibition of unfair competition" lawsuit pertains to individual employees rather than the company itself.

On the 24th, Hanwha Precision Machinery stated, "The victory for Hanmi Semiconductor concerns a lawsuit against individual employees, not against Hanwha Precision Machinery."

They further explained, "The purpose is to prevent employees from providing technology information acquired during their tenure at Hanmi Semiconductor to other entities," and emphasized that "the employees in question were lawfully hired through normal public recruitment procedures."

Moreover, they stated, "Given that the employee was in their fourth year at the time of leaving, it is highly unlikely that they had access to critical information from Hanmi Semiconductor."

Hanwha Precision Machinery added, "While our semiconductor business has been relatively low-profile, like other electronics and equipment businesses, we have developed technology over a long period," and emphasized, "We firmly believe that just as our trade secrets and information are valuable, the trade secrets of third parties should also be respected and protected."
