[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Minyoung] CJ Korea Express has decided to delay the increase in general delivery fares at convenience stores. As a result, convenience store delivery prices are maintained.

"We were discussing a 50 won increase in the unit price of delivery with convenience store companies due to a sharp rise in costs such as oil prices and minimum wages, but we decided to adjust the timing of the increase in consideration of the public burden," CJ Korea Express said on the 24th. The unit price of 50 won does not mean the final delivery cost paid by consumers as the unit price of the contract between CJ Logistics and convenience stores. CJ Korea Express previously decided to raise the general delivery fare by 50 won from early next month after consulting with convenience stores. Accordingly, general delivery prices of GS25, CU and E-Mart 24, which contracted with CJ Korea Express among the four convenience stores, were expected to rise by 100 won to 400 won depending on the weight and delivery area, including the increase in indirect costs. However, as CJ Korea Express decided to delay the fare increase, GS25, CU, and E-Mart 24 all maintain the delivery unit price.
