[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] Hyundai Card has successfully exported its independently developed artificial intelligence (AI) software, marking the first such achievement in South Korea’s financial industry.

On the 17th, Hyundai Card announced that it had signed a contract to sell its AI software, Universe, to SMCC (Sumitomo Mitsui Card Company), one of Japan's top three credit card companies.

Universe is a data science-based, hyper-personalization AI platform developed entirely by Hyundai Card. By defining and structuring data through a feature called Tag, it predicts customers' behaviors, preferences, and conditions, allowing for direct targeting. The platform is versatile and can be applied across all business areas, regardless of the industry.
