[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] According to industry sources on the 29th, it has been confirmed that the Korea Fair Trade Commission (KFTC) conducted on-site investigations at the headquarters of Krafton and Com2us amid suspicions that they misrepresented the probabilities of in-game items.

The KFTC is reportedly looking into whether Krafton's 'PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG)' and Com2us' 'Star Seed: Asnia Trigger' manipulated or falsely stated the probabilities of their random item drops.

Prior to this, the KFTC had conducted investigations into NCsoft, the developer of 'Lineage M,' Gravity, the developer of 'Ragnarok Online (Ragnarok),' and WeMade, the developer of 'Night Crow,' regarding similar allegations.

These companies updated their item drop rate information ahead of the enforcement of the revised Game Industry Act, which mandates the disclosure of probabilities for random items. However, controversies arose when discrepancies were found between the updated probabilities and the previously announced ones.
