[Alpha Biz= Reporter Hyeongjin Lee] It has been found that the Minister for Trade, Korea's trade control tower, has begun drawing up detailed action plans for the Naver line crisis.

In a telephone interview with Alpha Biz on the 28th, Cheong In-kyo, Head of Negotiations Division in the Ministry of Trade said Kishida is "exactly grasping the details" of the Japanese government's coercion to clean up its stake in the Naver line. "The specific response plan to the Naver Line situation will not be decided until Monday afternoon (29th)," Cheong added. Earlier on the 25th, Japanese media reported that Softbank is pushing for negotiations to buy shares of A Holdings, the largest shareholder of Japanese line operator Line Yahoo, from Naver. If Softbank acquires an additional stake, Naver will lose control of Line Yahoo. The Japanese government has consistently demanded Naver to liquidate its stake in Line Yahoo, holding it responsible for Line's leak of customer information late last year.
