[Alpha Biz= Paul Lee] Seoul, July 2 – Namgoong Kyeon, Chairman of Humasis, has filed a criminal complaint against a shareholder, identified as Mr. Kim, citing repeated dissemination of false information, obstruction of business, and defamation. The company also announced a civil lawsuit seeking damages.

A Humasis official stated, “Mr. Kim has continuously posted malicious and false content about the company, prompting us to take legal action for defamation and reputational damage. His behavior has crossed the line, severely impacting management and corporate reputation.”

According to Humasis, Mr. Kim has frequently posted defamatory remarks on public stock discussion boards, falsely accusing the company of engaging in price manipulation through wash trades in September 2024 and alleging collusion with short sellers to intentionally lower the company’s stock price.

In addition to public posts, Mr. Kim reportedly submitted multiple false complaints to public institutions, including the Presidential Office, the Democratic Party of Korea, the Financial Supervisory Service, and various prosecutors’ offices. Humasis has filed additional criminal charges against him for perjury (false accusations) and initiated a civil lawsuit to seek financial compensation.

The company emphasized its commitment to protecting its management and stakeholders from unfounded attacks and misinformation campaigns.
