[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] On November 11, Neowiz announced a publishing contract with Polish game developer Zakazane, with an investment of $8 million.

Through this agreement, Neowiz secures global publishing rights for Zakazane's debut PC and console game. The game is a single-player RPG set in a Western noir backdrop, featuring a mysterious storyline centered around a sheriff arriving at a remote mine.

Zakazane, founded in 2022 and based in Warsaw, Poland, comprises developers with backgrounds from notable companies such as CD Projekt Red (creator of The Witcher series and Cyberpunk 2077) and 11bit Studio (known for This War of Mine and Frostpunk). Led by Jan Bartkowicz, Zakazane attracted a $1 million investment from The Games Fund in September last year, showcasing their strong development capabilities.
